The Evolution of Breast Cancer Research

The first sign of breast cancer often is a breast lump or an abnormal mammogram. Breast cancer stages range from early, curable breast cancer to metastatic breast cancer, with a variety of breast cancer treatments. Male breast cancer is not uncommon and must be taken seriously.

Breast cancer research is in the beginning stages of an early-stage drug discovery combination between pharmacy and molecular genetics. Breast cancer research is currently investigating breast cancer cell growth and MPS1, a protein found to be in excess in patients with breast cancer. With the help of local organizations and cancer research foundations, cancer research has come a long way closing in on the cause.

Ramesh Ganju PhD is working hard, to develop a therapy that targets the tumor and the areas surrounding it found in TNBC and metastatic cancer. Findings have already shown that the tumors in mice have displayed significantly reduced growth and spread, while receiving this treatment. Dr. Ganju has recently secured funding from the National Cancer Institute that will greatly help him with new discoveries.

Breast Cancer, more specifically TNBC, has begun a great battle with highly motivated doctors and researchers with promising findings already in the mystery behind these aggressive, hard to treat, forms of cancer. With all the support from Ramesh Ganju and other cancer research fondations, we have finnaly allowed these proactive, groundbreaking projects come into existence.
